Short bio:

Joanna Paliszkiewicz works as a full professor at the Warsaw University of Life Sciences (WULS—SGGW). She is the director of the Management Institute. She is a professor at the University of Economics in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. She is also an adjunct professor at the University of Vaasa in Finland. She obtained the academic title “full professor” from the International School for Social and Business Studies in Slovenia. She is well recognized in Poland and abroad for her expertise in management issues: knowledge management and trust management. She has published over 250 papers/manuscripts and is the author/co-author/editor of 23 books. She has been a part of many scholarship endeavors in the United States, Ireland, Slovakia, Taiwan, the United Kingdom, and Hungary. She has actively participated in presenting research results at various international conferences. Currently, she serves as the deputy editor-in-chief of the Management and Production Engineering Review. She is an associate editor for the Journal of Computer Information Systems, Expert System with Applications, Issues in Information Systems, Przegląd Organizacji, Intelligent Systems with Applications. She serves as chair of the International Cooperation in European Business Club. She serves as president of the International Association for Computer Information Systems in the United States. She has successfully supervised many Ph.D. students, leading them to the completion of their degrees. She has also served as an external reviewer for several Ph.D. students in Poland, India, and Finland. She is actively involved in participating in the scientific committees of many international conferences. She was named the 2013 Computer Educator of the Year by IACIS in the USA. She is an expert in the Polish Accreditation Commission, and she is a member of the Polish Academy of Science.

Dr. Peter Madzík

Short bio:

Peter Madzík is a Researcher at the Department of Management, Comenius University Bratislava. He earned his PhD in Management from the University of Žilina, Slovakia, and holds two habilitation degrees (Associate Professor) in Management (University of Žilina, Slovakia, 2019) and in Business Economics and Management (Technical University of Liberec, Czech Republic, 2025). His research interests include Quality Management, Supply Chain Management, Performance Management, Digitalization, and the application of Machine Learning algorithms for processing unstructured data. His work in Quality Management has addressed tools and techniques such as the Kano model, Lean Six Sigma, and statistical quality methods. In Supply Chain Management, his focus includes transparency, traceability, and sustainability. He has published more than 100 research papers, including over 30 in peer-reviewed journals indexed in Web of Science. He has collaborated with scholars from the USA, Portugal, Ireland, China, Italy, Jordan, Morocco, Spain, India, Poland, and the Czech Republic. Dr. Madzík has participated in multiple national and international research projects, serves as a certified Lean Six Sigma Master Black Belt, and has received numerous national and international awards. Since 2022, he has been a member of Technical Committee 22 on Quality at the Slovak Office of Standards, Metrology and Testing, currently serving as its chair.



Prof. Arash Shahin

Short bio:

Arash Shahin is a Full-Time Professor in the Department of Management, Founder and Director of the Quality Management Research Group, and President of the Management Research Institute at the University of Isfahan. He earned his PhD in Quality Engineering from Newcastle University in the UK, along with his BSc and MSc in Industrial Engineering in Iran. His research interests encompass Quality and Productivity Management, Supply Chain Management, Maintenance Management, and Innovation Management. His work in Quality Management has concentrated on revising, developing, and integrating tools and techniques, particularly focusing on the Kano model, Quality Function Deployment, Six Sigma, and Importance-Performance Analysis. In Supply Chain Management, he has emphasized Sustainability, Risk Management, Quality Management, Leanness, and Agility. Within Maintenance Management, he has concentrated on revising and developing frameworks for decision-making regarding Maintenance Tactics, Key Performance Indicators, Proactive Tactics, and Maintenance Excellence. Lastly, his work in Innovation Management has explored concepts and subjects related to Lean/Agile Innovation, Incremental/Radical Innovation, and Frugal Innovation. In some instances, he has sought to apply Quality Management tools and techniques to his other areas of interest, primarily in Supply Chain Management and Innovation Management. Professor Shahin has advanced the fields of Quality Management and Engineering in recent years. He has authored 12 books, eight book chapters, and 580 published papers at national and international levels in refereed journals and conferences, served as an EAB member for 35 national and international journals, and reviewed for 110 international journals since 1994. He has received 31 national and international awards, including 5 Emerald awards (2009-2023) and 1 Wiley award (2023).


Prof. Lucio Biggiero

Lucio Biggiero (www.luciobiggiero.com) teaches an undergraduate course Organization Theory and Design and a Master course Business Analytics for Business Networks, both at the Department of Industrial Engineering, Information and Economics of the University of L’Aquila (IT). His main research interests round on the following themes: 1) cooperative economics and management; 2) organizational and inter-organizational forms of coordination; 3) knowledge networks; 4) international trade and economic development; 5) epistemological and methodological problems of social sciences; 6) the role of complexity in social sciences. He applies the following main methodologies: outranking methods for decision making; social network analysis; data analysis; agent-based simulation models.
